Champions League T20 Cricket Tournament to begin on 8th of October 2009 but without any Pakistani team.

After 26/11’s Mumbai attacks and subsequent attacks on Sri Lankan players in Lahore, closed the doors of participation of any Pakistani Cricket team in events staged in India and created a drought of Cricketing events on Pakistan’s soil. The impact was seen as negative and dangerous for the future of Pakistani cricket and for the players who were thirsty to play international teams and gain experience. However, in my opinion the exclusion of Pakistan from the money making tournaments like IPL and Champions League brought a new challenge to the national team. Read more
